Crow Dreams

Some birds just have a bad reputation no matter what they do. Is your Superstitious beliefs making you paranoid because you had a dream of this black bird?

The crow has had a bad reputation dating as far back with Greek mythology, commonly associated with Apollo, the god of prophecy. They are said to be a signs of bad luck, and were the god’s messengers in the underworld. Does this suggest that dreaming of crows is going to bring me bad luck?

Dreams often speak to us in a metaphoric language coded with images and symbols and the meaning may alter depending your encounter. A crow might suggest a bad omen to one person but for someone else a symbol of good luck.

Crows similar to the fox or the bunny are considered tricksters in dreams, often appearing to show you one thing but mean another. Basically they are a modern day troll that is highly intelligent offering you a message. It wants to play games with you if you are up for the challenge. It specifically chose to come to you as you are the only one who can decode this message.

Crow Dream Meaning

They tend to direct the dreamer towards warnings, death and their personal shadow – the dark side of the personality that is unknown to them. Alternatively, they may emerge as symbol of vision, psychic, intelligence and direction.

Since the crow is considered one of the world’s most intelligent creatures, right up there with the dolphin and the ape; hence why we must approach them very carefully. We cannot think of this bird as just any ordinary bird but something that flew in from your unconscious. What can this be exactly?

  • Life magic, mystery of creation.
  • Destiny or rebirth.
  • Intelligence.
  • Vision can see things from far away.
  • Being fearless and aggressive,
  • Death, endings, bad news.
  • Troll, manipulative, mischievous.

Is The Crow You?

The behaviour of crows and jays can be characterized as aggressive, intelligent, quarrelsome, and sometimes playful. Now since the crow in unconscious to you it may suggest that you possess these qualities that you are unaware of. More than likely it would appear in your house that connects the dreamer to parts of his or her mind/psyche.

In many cultures it is know to be a trickster for a reason, exhibiting a great degree of smarts or secret knowledge, and uses it to play tricks or otherwise disobey normal rules and conventional behaviour. The black color and mysterious behaviors brings your attention to your shadow wanting you to recognize these traits or behaviors within.

Could the crow represent your negative thoughts or urges that are causing you more harm than good? Perhaps this relates to thinking of the future (vision) that you project in a negative manner?

The crow encourages you to heal parts of your psyche, to embrace positive change in your life and the lives of those around you. They might come across as intimidating only if you listen to your fears.

Crow Dreams and Death

Due to Hollywood’s depiction of crows they might emerge in your dream as symbols of dying or death. This doesn’t necessarily represent people but endings or transitions in your life.

In the dream realm death is commonly associated with transition or rebirths in your life. As one phase in your life has ended the crow shows up to deliver this message to you. Although crows may show up to inform you that death might be lurking; messengers from heaven and earth bringing you news.

Attacking Crow Dreams

When the crow attacks you either by biting or being aggressive with you it wants your attention but you are ignoring its needs. What could that be? If you are attacked suggests you provoked or annoyed something – relating to people around you or possibly your own unconscious behaviors. The crow encourages you to examine your fears, negative thoughts, and general disposition.

Biblical Meaning Of Crows Dreams

In the bible crows are not really mentioned as bad omens. God told Job that part of the evidence for God’s care of his creation was that he fed the ravens (Job 38:41), a theme that both a psalmist (Ps 147:9) and Jesus echoed: “Consider the crows. They don’t plant or harvest. They don’t even have a storeroom or a barn. Yet, God feeds them.

I believe crows bear bad news or luck, directly correlating to my negative energy or fear.
I just had the most peculiar vision of a crow, engulfed in flame. Against a dark sky, the embers flew brightly.
Perhaps this signifies transition? We shall see!
Thanks for the knowledge.
